The makings of an epic New Year’s Eve

The stars are aligning to bring all of my favorite things together into 1 night.  I acknowledge that I am a very, very lucky girl.

1.  We are celebrating New Year’s Eve in Bangkok.  Holy crap.

2. We somehow got booked into an awesome deluxe suite at the Conrad Hilton for a ridiculously low amount of points.  Time to make some friends in Bangkok!

3.  We are spending the day shopping at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, Thailand’s largest market with over 5,000 vendor stalls.  Also the place where I’m getting Christmas presents for all of the wonderful people in my life.

4.  And finally, we are eating a 16-course meal at Gaggan, a progressive Indian restaurant.  Think liquid nitrogen + curry leaves.  The chef studied under Ferran Adria, one of the greatest chefs in the world.  I’m seriously excited about this meal because it combines my love of Indian food and fine dining, which is pretty unusual.  This will certainly be a meal to remember!  Here’s the menu:Image

  1. Let me know if you want the contact info of any of our old 193G friends…Tam, Toy, or anyone else. I’m sure they would love to see you if given the chance while you’re in BKK.
